Q: What is Software as a Service (SaaS)?
A. SaaS is a revolution that’s changing the face of traditional software. Web-native software delivered over the internet, SaaS provides customers new ways to utilise software by removing many of the usual annoyances of traditional software including upfront investment costs, installation hassles, and ongoing support costs and updates. With Iceberg.People, SaaS allows us to deliver the latest version of our software in a cost effective manner for both you and us.
Q. What do I need to install Iceberg.People?
A. Nothing. If you have a modern browser and an internet connection you’re ready to go. Iceberg.People is delivered over the internet so there’s no server software to install, no new boxes to buy and there's no desktop software to install and keep up to date.
Q. Is there a way to have it installed in our office?
A. At this stage no. The only way to use Iceberg.People is through our hosted option. We think this represents the best value solution, plus you get update versions and features without having to lift a finger.
Q. Do we own our data?
A. You retain all rights to your data. We don't look at it, we don't use it, we don't sell it. In fact, each customer has their own discrete database. See our

Q. How secure is our data?
A. The security of your data is of utmost importance to us. We maintain discrete databases for each of our clients. For those requiring a higher level of security we offer an SSL browser-to-server encrypted link. Our applications run on our own infrastructure and are secured in high availability data centres around the country. See our

Q. What happens if we no longer want to use Iceberg.People?
A. If you no longer wish to use Iceberg.People that’s ok. Because you’re billed month-by-month you only pay for what you use. There are no exit fees. Your data is your data, so there’s no lock-in. We have export tools to allow you to quickly and effortlessly extract all your data.
Q. Why use Iceberg.People when I could just use Outlook?
A. We think Iceberg.People offers a number of features that go beyond Outlook. The big one is team sharing of contacts and file notes (there is no I in Team). On top of that, you can access Iceberg.People from anywhere, assign tags, send SMSes and you don’t have to worry about data backups – we do them for you.
Q. Is it possible to sync between Outlook and Iceberg.People?
A. At this time no. Iceberg.People is aimed at teams, so sharing your grandmother's phone number with the team isn't a high priority for us. That said, we'll be looking at incorporating that feature in the future as Iceberg.People evolves.
Q. How do I get access to my contacts from my mobile phone?
A. For smartphone users, you can access Iceberg.People from our small screen browser optimised version. Get the latest information, view tasks and review file notes while on the road.
Q. Do you support international SMS?
A. Not at this point. We are currently only support an Australian gateway. We expect this will change soon. Tune into our product

Q. What technical support is provided?
A. We offer a number of solutions. Firstly, we have great online help to first-time users. Secondly, we provide 24-hour turn-a-round email support and, for those that want added comfort, with our premium plan we offer support over the phone.
